Wheelhouse
For Claude Code in Visual Studio. Run Claude Code sessions inside the IDE, and give Claude live access to your solution: Roslyn, the debugger, Test Explorer, builds and NuGet.
Latest: version 1.33.0, 16 September 2026
Claude, in your IDE
A Visual Studio panel for Claude Code sessions: the conversation, proposed diffs in VS's own diff viewer, and your MCP servers, without leaving the editor.
Real answers, not text search
Diagnostics, find references, rename and code fixes come from Visual Studio's live Roslyn workspace, including unsaved edits and ASP.NET views.
The whole IDE
Claude can build, run tests through Test Explorer, debug with breakpoints and stepping, profile, and manage NuGet packages and EF migrations.
Edits you can see and undo
Every change Claude makes goes through Visual Studio's editor: you watch it happen with change markers in the margin, and one Ctrl+Z reverts it. Files keep their encoding and line endings.
Install it, and it is set up
Install the extension and restart Visual Studio. On its first start Wheelhouse installs its MCP server, registers it with Claude Code and adds usage guidance for Claude. Exactly what it changes.
